Mark Bower-Dyke

With over 40 years of insurance industry experience and a lifetime of proven success as an entrepreneur and creative innovator, beginning in 1988 Mark founded the A Quote Insurance Broking chain. He took the company from its inception to sale to Highway Insurance Company in 2004 where he continued for two years helping it grow fivefold.

In 2007 Mark founded Be Wiser Insurance, becoming one of the UK’s fastest growing and largest privately owned insurance brokers reaching some 230,000 customers, he remained at the heart of the company until its sale in 2021.

Having successfully brought and sold many companies in and around the Insurance industry, his understanding of marketing and how to grow customer numbers has been at the heart of the organic growth and success the companies have all achieved.

In 2021 Mark founded Blieve Consulting as he felt that companies were looking for proactive ways to grow their businesses rather than the traditional consulting process of ‘find the faults’.

Stuart Pendleton

An Experienced director with over 20 years’ of restructuring, cost management & optimisation and implementation of growth strategies, in-depth knowledge across personal lines insurance, including income protection, life, SME, home, travel and motor insurance, both from an underwriters’ and distributors’ perspective.

Has successfully managed both large & small insurance programmes to maximise returns for all parties, with a proven record of leading strategic discussions and negotiations at board level.  Successfully acted as interim MD / CEO on multiple boards steering the completion of a successful transitions.

With core skills in partnership management & development, business strategy and pipeline, marketing & PR strategy, business planning, operational change & delivery, due diligence / overview. Coupled with new product development and implementation, change & new business Implementation, sourcing and negotiating new capacity arrangements, pricing strategy (including new business and retention) across distribution.

Andy Webb

 
With a strong change management and leadership development background beginning in the utilities sector, responsible for operational management roles and change programmes in the regulated energy market, resulting in the end of the 12 regional British Gas businesses, the migration of 12 systems into one and the creation of centres of excellence; building and leading on new business as part of the SMT for Centrica’s National Sales centre. 
 
Moving then to Churchill Insurance Group in 2000, promoted to Group Customer Services Director, then Group Executive Director on the group SMT: leading operations, support functions and brands in the group including Churchill, Pearl, Prudential and NIG. Growing Churchill from £600M to £2.4Bn GWP through acquisition, partnerships and organically.
 
Co-founding an insurance Intermediary which was subsequently acquired by LV=, an interim Operations Director at Towergate, then Chief Operating Officer of Legal & General’s separately authorised General Insurance business.
 
Joining Barbon Insurance Group in 2015, as Insurance Strategy Director before taking the role of Group Operations Director. Responsible for the U.K’s largest Tenant Referencing business, driving captive insurance sales from the referencing event, leeding the re-engineering of the insurance product proposition and referencing propositions to create a 15% yoy uplift in EBITDA.

Alastair Campbell

Alastair has spent over 25 years building websites and digital products, from the largest car search engine to the most visited credit website in the UK. Along the way he has raised over £5m for his various start-ups, sold three companies to companies as diverse as CreditSafe and Oodle Finance.

A super connector, Alastair knows some of the most creative and talented people in start-ups and technology through his extensive networking. Currently advising two international tech firms, leading their efforts to establish a beachhead of clients and partners in the UK before mainstream launches.

Hs is also an Entrepreneur in Residence and Nottingham University Business School, helping not just with the Student and MSc programs but also the Government / University joint venture for the Help to Grow program which helps companies of all sizes re-focus and develop their strategies post Covid.

Lisa Hynes

Lisa is a recognised expert at organising and managing Senior Executives within many successful businesses.

As Operations Co-ordinator Lisa is at the heart of the organisation, Lisa’s efficiency and organisational skills keep the business connected on many levels. As first point of contact Lisa is responsible for diary management, travel planning, project and event management, and managing all elements of office logistics for Blieve and its clients.

With over 20 years of insurance industry experience,  specalising in operations and business improvement. Highly focused on bringing tech to life to improve customer experience and improving the operational productivity, reducing waste and increasing capacity.

A successful People Leader with expertise in coaching, mentoring, developing business strategies aligned to improvements across a number of focus areas :-customer journeys, employment engagement, customer centric processes and procedures and increasing business volume and growth.

With a proven track record of staff engagement, stakeholder management, coaching to improve performance and design and delivery of Lean practices within an operational environment.

Led large scale Lean transformation projects, home working, 24×7, outbound, inbound, web chat, AI intergrations and complaint management. Enjoy’s diagnosing business critical challenges, design and implementing robust solutions to continuously improve Sales and Service.  Experienced in improving marketing acquisition through social media campaigns, improving SEO and PPC accounts.

Crescens George

Crescens is the insurance market leader in respect of HR, Training & Recruitment. Empowering businesses and individuals alike to help realise and fulfil their potential. He applies his sector insight to all aspects of recruitment & training to support the Insurance, FinTech and other Financial Services businesses with all their ’People’ needs.

His past successes include developing the first ever Insurance Degree BA (Hons) programme, attaining an ‘employer provider- Apprenticeships’ status for a large broker; the first ever for the Insurance sector, Numerous National awards have littered his career to date.

John Brewer

John has a broad range of skills and connections, his forte being the creation, adaptation, and implementation of established technology to ultimately improve the customer and partner journey, maximizing business efficiencies and turnover whilst retaining that personal touch and feel.

Glynn Evans

Glynn is a marketing and operational sales environment expert with experience from initial startup, running and oversight of successful businesses.

Helped and developed marketing and sales operations which resulted in sustained organic growth in two business which were successfully sold.
